I have spent the last two days back in my studio working. I have several things started, but this piece was my main focus. I only took three photos of it. Beginning, middle and end. It felt so good to paint.
It does always feel good to get back to painting...(!) I noticed you were not feeling well last week, hope you are feeling better! Love the story of the travelling valentine card!
Hi Leslie! - yummy - from you that is good - it's very good to be painting - layer, after layer, after layer
Hey Lynne - thanks so much - man, did I ever love your knit up!
Yes It Did! - LOL! - thanks Cynjon...
it's hard for me not to have some bit of assemblage in a painting - Grrl, your knitup crusade is just crazy wild wonderful - when Lis gets back, we are heading out!
Hi Paula - LOL - the valentine card was fun, but I do bug the poor man alot with silly games - I'm feeling much better and you're right, it always feels good to get back to painting!
Followed your link home from Daryl's. I hope you don't mind my saying that you are immensely talented. I love how you captured the progression to final product.
Two days in the studio...wonderful. I so liked looking at your progression...beautiful piece, a feeling of illumination. Is the yellow piece in the sidebar completed? Love the colors!
I think I like your piece at stage 1. Rather like a box of chocs and I like the other colours in it. I can also see that an influence from your theatre netting may have got in there too?!
Hi Carmi and welcome - thank you so much for your very kind comment! I'm headed to visit your blog right now..
good morning Mary Ann - the piece in the sidebar is a book cover wrapped in muslin and then stained - I'm making a series of them - don't know what will become of them yet, but they are very satisfying to do right now.
Hi Lusia - it's all about the process, isn't it. thanks.
thanks Rosie - well, I think it's the end, but who knows, huh? - the end is so elusive don't you think?
Hey Derrick - ah, you are a color guy - good hint for 'first five' - coming to your place in the next couple of months! ha!
Hi Willow - thanks so much! I actually am liking it also.
hello Rosemoo - thanks so much - appreciate your kind words.
Hi Martha - thanks so much - the opening was fine - I'm a lurker at your place and always appreciate what you are about...

Loved seeing the journey from beginning to end painting - something we don't often see (except from the generous blogging community) great image

Oh, wow, Jeane!! Really nice. Love it!
I wish I could touch it! It looks lovely!
Jeane: Are you the freaking energizer bunny or what? Do you sleep? How was the opening? Great painting, very tactile.

I draw inspiration! Love the pattern on your work!
thanks so much B&W.....
I love the way your works look like they've been textured by the elements.
Ahhh... I'm glad your back in the studio too. There's nothing quite like getting back in there after time out, is there?
ooooo Shayla! - thank you so much, because that is what I strive for unconsciously.
Robyn - that is so true! it feels like I'm home.
Ooh, this has captured me! I really like the circles.. and the whole thing feels like encaustic to me.
