"5 Ways to Spring"

That's the title of a painting I just finished yesterday. I loved our time away, but I'm loving working again even more. I've painted everyday since being home and the photo below shows my fav of the three I've completed.

This is mixed media on paper with copal wax 24x19 - titled 'fractured' - that's a bit how I feel transitioning back into life here - so much to catch up on! below are two details of the other two paintings I have done - you can go to my flickr site to see the finished pieces.

this is a detail of '14 days' - 19x24 mixed media on paper

and this is '5 Ways to Spring' - mixed media on paper 24x19

Have a wonderful weekend everyone and MAKE ART!

Ah! 5 ways to Spring! Just watched Mao Asado wearing the red and black--marvelous! And then I looked again and saw this fabulous piece of yours and it compliments the skating visions I just beheld. Eye pleasure all! So happy to be witness to your work, Jeane!

I love the sense of optimism in these. The chalky whites you use always remind me of the bare landscape around here. 5 ways to Spring looks like I could walk through it.

I like seeing the greens in there, Jeane. Something different and stimulating and they remind me of Spring.
Thank you too for posting that intimate and authentic poem by Gayle Kaune. If you get the time to post a link to a larger version of "Magellan's right turn", I'd love to have another look.
