I finally got to the hardware store and got some new hardboard to work on - finally!! I had my cutter guy, Brian, cut everything approximately 24x24 this time - space is the deciding factor - I have four large pieces drying right now and taking up
alot of room, so smaller surfaces for awhile - I had time to work on a couple of under paintings today and then took some pictures of some of the details that interest me right now - but of course as soon as I start working, that can all change - hope you are all gearing up for a wonderful weekend - enjoy!
here are two
underpaintings waiting in the wings - can't wait until tomorrow to start work!

the following are some detail shots of places that interest me.......

we'll see - make art!

so good to look at these images....
hey ! did you change the bachgrong of this blog ? i just noticed now . it got great !
have a wonderful weekend!
I was making art all afternoon, but then I lost my courage and ended up scrubbing it all off the board, even running it under the tap to get rid of all paint traces. My head had gotten in the way! The piece wasn't obeying any "shoulds." Abstract? I don't do abstract...I had a need to find something concrete in the colours. It gives me courage to look at your process. Perhaps I am lacking in patience and wanting the underpainting to be the finished deal. I also take courage from how you take a painting that you once considered finished and turn it into something else entirely because it didn't feel "honest." I'm a big fan of your work.
Oh Jeane, great beginings and nice details of excitement. It'll be fun to see what you make of these.
One of these days I am going to pick up some of that hardboard at Home Depot and get started. I am.
Greetings Jeane,
As the process of painting is such a personal matter, I find it a treasure to few the stages of progression.
Thank you for sharing and I wish you good luck in its progress.
Warmest regards,
Egmont
wow..
the header image blew my head off...
loving it.
Hi Jeane,
Polite request; please don't lose the bright blue!! Have a productive weekend.
Turquoise isn't one of your usual colors. I'm curious to see what will happen with it.
love the flow of the last one
Nice beginnings, you never know where it will take you!
I'm betting that the next time we see these the turquoise will have all but disappeared.
But it's all good, and I'm eager to see where they take you.
good morning Caio and thank you so much and yes, I did mess around with my look here - I love that I can change it up when ever I want :)
wow, Louciao, I love that you just washed it off under the tap! very cool! actually I'm a fan of the complete wipe out! I have at least one or two wipe outs each time - however, I like the ghost it leaves under the work, so I don't go the the scrubbed clean level and sometimes it's exactly what I was looking for - bravo! to the wipe out!
good morning Maggie - yes, bits of interest already on the surface - little road maps leading me along :)
Willow!, take your fingers off the keyboard and go directly to home depot now!, then come home and make your first mark or word xxo
good morning Egmont, thank you and I love your new profile pic! very handsome :)
hi grrl, so glad you liked it xxo
LOL! Derrick! will keep your 'polite request' in mind as I journey through these two pieces :)
hello Shayla, no telling where it will end up - behind, in front, totally gone, but we know it is there!xxo
hello Daryl - I photoed these while they were still wet and moving xxo
that's for sure Annell!
you could be totally right Babs - but it also may be my new fav color xxo
I don't know how you were able to sleep after starting these! They speak fun, intrigue, adventure and a beautiful, other world.
Ooooh, yes, turquoise, the color of good fortune and a great complement to the light of summer.
Have a great weekend!
24'x24' is a great size...I'm very attached to the square. Exciting beginnings...will be fun to see what a time and attention produce! Happy time!
Love the new paintings and Love! the new chartreuse background here!! With the black accents... just lovely!!
Detail shot #2 makes my mouth water...
I know you are a real person, because I've met you! But there is something unreal about your productivity..more, more!!
Louciao, just so you know?, I did two total 'wipe outs' yesterday! UGh! it was a hard battle, but I think I finally won - see what you think - it's on my flickr page!
LOL! Melinda! so funny - I worked all afternoon yesterday and fought hard to get a even a small resolve! sometimes it comes easy and sometimes not so much - sigh - xxo
good morning Mary Ann - it is a good size, but I actually like a bit larger - I'm very comfortable in the 48x48 size - xxo
Hi Pamela - thank you - one of my fav colors and change is good! hugs to Edward :)
too funny DJ and as you can guess, it's long gone and in a new form this morning xxo
you are so funny Lyn! it feels right to me and I'm a bit anxious about not being able to paint more - when i'm not working, that's all I think about - obviously I'm obsessed xxo
ooohh. Nice blog. I'm taken with the Header image. A face grown from tree roots and earthy minerals.
