mixed media on board 19x24 - Site #3
Hello and happy Tuesday to everyone - I won't bore you with which one this was before, but trust me, it's much better - we had a fabulous four days with family here and I am just now back to work in the studio - this piece is #3 (obviously) in a series about 'sites'- sites being places that have been rediscovered by digging into them - that seems to be my MO right now - digging past something pleasing to get to something deeper - hope you are all finding life good!

Jeane, It's beautiful, such depth! Glad you're back to painting!
Perfect title for these...'sites'! Glad for the family fun but it's always nice to return to studio. Have a great week unearthing these beauties!
i don't vote, but THIS piece is a favorite...sooooooooo organic. and how / what are those hairs/cracks/threads in there?
I hesitate saying I like it because I am sure its going to keep evolving ...
good morning Chris, thank you - I'm glad I'm back painting also, I need that balance in my life :)
thanks Mary Ann, am definitely happy to be back working - working through these shifts in my art practice much like the seasons changing xxo
hello Neva - thank you so much - one of the things I like about painting wet on wet is the ability to paint, scrape, and cut into the built up layers, thus the little threads :)
too funny Daryl - I actually am very satisfied with this one at this point xxo
Very nice! Hope your family visit was good :)
Jeane, I especially love the right hand side of this one.Such drama in the contrasts,,,and yes, I adore the little 'threads'.
So, if you gotta change this one,,,,keep your fingers off that side.
(please?)
:-D

your welcome Skizo and thank you for stopping by :)
Jeane your work always leaves me feeling awed! I would love to know your secret for digging into the depths of your work - they are truly inspiring images that have something of age and the old masters(mistresses) about them - thank you
