Then I drug out a little 9x12 canvas that I had already ripped everything off of and started gluing down the little pieces from the deconstructed painting on cardboard...very random....
then I played with it by painting over the collage pieces - I added a bit of muslin and attached that with my cold wax........
it was a great way to still work while I'm waiting for things to dry - now this is drying - sigh - have a fabulous week everyone!

I can't wait to see where you go with it!
You mind is in overdrive. You are coming up with fabulous work. The best part is that you have inspired me beyond belief. I am ready to rock.
It's so textural,,,,I adore it!
A wonderfully subdued mosiac feel, that is SO inspiring!
I imagine you dancing around them all waving a fan or something, chanting, "dry, dry!!"
The painful part of painting...waiting for paint to dry has obviously been inspirational...good luck with these mosaics...I'm already loving them!
Beauty from deconstruction - how good that you had those moments of waiting, for look what it has brought forth. I await more (and yes, waiting time CAN be productive, or so I have discovered too).
"Watching paint dry" will never be boring with you around, Jeane!
so yes!
good morning Liz, well actually, this is probably as far as this little guy goes - it was just a way to work until my other things dried, but who knows, it could be an element for something else :)
Hey Z! so glad you feel inspired - so exciting to have that burst of energy - my bursts are far and few between - just slogging away and nailing once in awhile xxo
Hi Babs - yes, it is mosaic feeling isn't it - it was like a game - I had all the pieces face down on the table and I had to use whichever one I picked up first, so very random - I guess I was in a real scattered sort of mind set yesterday - but not today - very focused today :)
Hey Denise - you pretty much got that picture right except for the fan - wish I would have thought of that :)
thanks Mary Ann,but I doubt I will do anymore of them - it was just a way to move through the day yesterday because I couldn't paint!!! - sigh :)
well hello Ann, so nice to see you hear - well it was definitely a better way to spend time then say mopping the floor! :)
oh, god, I'm a terrible waiter person - and now I have a, well I don't actually know what it is, drying also! - should have just walked back to the house and got a hair dryer :)

Fantastic! If you hadn't been waiting for the others to dry you wouldn't have come up with it. Loving the greeny work in progress in your sidebar too.
