I just got home from my other job - I'm exhausted - it's a very physical job, but one I love. My dearest friend Lisa and I have done window display and art installations together for the past four years. We just finished the display work at the '
Delucca', Lisa's hair salon, for December. I can never get very good pictures of the window because of all the glare inside and out, but this one was so fun, just had to share. Lisa comes up with an idea then we just knock it out on the fly which is the fun part - we never know how it's going to turn out - People wait every month to see what we are going to do. Always
alot of street traffic stopping and giving us a thumbs up. The first two pics are of the window display.
this first one is from the inside......

and this second one from the outside.......

and finally I finished another painting.....

this is mixed media on board 24x24 - 'She Took Her Second Chance'
have a great week everyone!

You have excess energy. I think this second job sounds like a blast and it seems you two to a wonderful job of it. I love this painting too.
Jeane, finally finished? You post more new and fabulous work than anyone I know plus you have time to do window displays. Woman you are truly amazing. I keep painting but I'd have to be super human to do as much as you but then again your younger. I have to have an excuse here somewhere.
Very beautiful. Love it, the layers, the colors.
great: window display and painting!!!
you know , serious artist revel thenselves doesn't matter the "job" .
itis all fantastic .
i loved .
What a fun window display! I bet that generates a lot of buzz.
Really loving the texture on "She Took Her Second Chance"
Your window displays would be a huge hit here! This new piece seems to echo the chill of metal in the air.....for me, anyway.
It must be really exciting to do window displays! Expressing one's creativity with different constraints and aims. It looks wonderful!
How fun I bet you are really good at it. Meanwhile as I scrolled down it was like looking at a painting in process, the lines changing as they do, all compositions definitely you.
good morning Z! thank you - we do have a blast - it's a very good synchronicity xxo
too funny Val! I do believe I'm the older one! thank you :)
hello Karin, thank you so much :)
Hi Mano, I know, it's a great combo :)

ah, hello Katherine, you snuck in while I was commenting, thank you for your observation - so interesting :)
I've always been a huge fan of your work, but it has emerged on a new stellar level, Jeane. It's marvelous. Send some snow my direction! :)
The windows are stage settings..maybe for the hair drama that goes on..Doesn't seem like work to me...more like fun..Wow!!!
Painting is mystical..so soothing...
One of the most lovely talented women I know ... xo
Beautifully designed window. I like it very much. It makes me curious.
The painting looks dreamy and soothing. But also very earthy. I like it very much.
Thumbs up for the window and for your painting..................
XXXm
So glad to have found your blog! I followed you from Mary Ann's blog. I love abstract art and am just beginning to learn more about it as I am a new self taught artist. I love your work!! I look forward to following your blog! :)
good morning Tess, what a nice thing to say :) and you can have every bit of snow that lands here :)
well you sure got the 'hair drama' thingy right Lyn - what hair salon isn't a drama pit, for sure - thanks, xxo
xxo Daryl - I just don't show the crap I churn out - it's all over the floor of my work space, I walk on it daily :)
hello petras, and thank you so much - glad you like it :)
thank you Martine and thumbs up for you stopping by :)
welcome Cathy, so happy you landed here, thank you :)
What a fun "other job" you have! Love the result of your collaboration, and what a wonderful an idea for a salon!
like the errant lightning in this one ...
thank you 'outside the lines' glad you stopped by :)
good morning Mr. Berger - errant lightning is always a good thing to carry in ones back pocket - it can add just the right unexpected touch :))
Jeane, wonderful expressive work -- and I love the narrative titles you have! They make me fill in the "story" with the image.
The salon must be a fun place to go if it has such theater in the front window. Cheers!
hello Edgar, thanks so much and I'm happy you stopped by - and yes, the salon is theatre everyday and better then most at the moment and I'm so glad you like the title - I wanted the titles to be 'active'and I'm loving the whole 'she' thingy :)
The window looks great -- must be a fun job. And the painting is fantastic. I love the monochromatic tones here.
A lovely festive window - I love that shadowy image too I am sure you would see something different everyday!
good morning Seth, yes, it's fun! and hard work, thank you :)
that's so true Rosie - shadow play! so much a part of any element :)
So inspired by your work. I was challenged to try something with layer upon layer, ended up with a big mess, you are amazing.
The painting is ghost-like.
