That's right! Things are truly under way in my workspace - paintings drying everywhere and they represent finished work, work in progress, and work that is in desperate need of redoing - it seems that much of my time is spent moving them around - paint on this one, scrape off paint on that one, carve into this one, turn those to face the wall because I can't bear to look at them right now - move a few into the house to dry faster, move some back out of the house to start all over - constant motion - however I did finish one the other day, well, almost finished - I knocked down some of the blue in it today, but it's subtle - that subtle thing seems to be so necessary to me - I know I could just leave it, but a little raw umber rubbed into the blue seems to make it just a bit richer, just a bit creamier, more textured - you know what I mean....

This is 48x38 mixed media on board - 'She Stepped In Blue'
hope this finds you all working hard! Oh, and did I say I love my ipad? Oh, yes! I love it! So worth it!

Hi Jeane,
Rich earthy tones always a favorite love your works in progress
Keep up the pushing , playing , doing.
Sounds like my workspace. I can no longer eat at the table...too many paintings drying. Love the work and it seems to be getting larger.
yum
I would love to be a fly on the wall in your studio, watching you spin from one painting to another!
A whirlwind of creativity and inspiration! Excellent. I think I would be overwhelmed by having so many canvasses on the go at once. I have this urge to view the finished painting (She Stepped in Blue) upside down to how you've presented it...I think because the blue traditionally suggests sky, with the earthier tones, well, the earth. But I like how that urge/desire puts me on edge a bit and makes me engage with the painting on a different level.
Hi Jeane,
Your header is wonderful..love, love, love these colors.
I also like how You report about your work. always very interesting and funny. Keep it up!
Sounds great! I'm laughing at the thought of turning some of those canvasses to face the wall! I'm sure they'll get a turn soon.
hello David, thank you - am definitely in the middle of a juggling act right now - one painting informs the next :)
oh, love the picture of not enough space to eat Z! - wonderful to hear you are working so much - some of your new work is so delicious! xxo
xxo :)))) Daryl
good morning Seth, well spin is something I don't do so well anymore, it's more like a very slow turn! :) we will get our chance in the Fall!
well it seems to be the nature of the beast Louciao, having wet paintings in every corner - I love that you want to see the painting the other way - I love how our natural esthetic kicks in when we are viewing work - it's different for everyone and actually the blue could be representative of water also, but in this case it was the color that I wanted to work with at the moment :)
hello Petras, so glad you like my reporting - these seem to be the colors my brush wants to dip into right now :)
oh, geez, Annie, some of the work is beyond me - what was I thinking - well that's just it, there really isn't very much head work in my work - just gut driving so I guess there were some pretty awful days xxo
Hi,
I love this shade of blue, a duck egg blue, a perfect balance with the rich warm tones in your paintng.x
I sure know what you mean!..This painting has an element of reality to it...enchanting and bold!
am jealous of your new tech, and always in awe of your work, and really loving the circle thingy!
I like this piece a lot! The darks and mass suspended at the top creates a very dynamic tension. I like the size of this painting also.
Yep, this is a good one. Like it a lot.
good morning Kayla, thank you and it's so nice to see you here :)
hello Lyn - this blue is popping up on all my work right now - perhaps hope for those spring skies of blue - it will be welcome for sure xxo
well my little ipad was a very good choice for me Deb - it's not for everyone, but it sure fills my needs, glad you like the work :)
thank you William - size is a challenge for me in my very small space, but it is my preference to paint large - painting small is a huge challenge for me - compressing all that energy down onto a small surface has really been a great teacher :)
I'm glad you like it rallentanda and I'm so happy you stopped by :)
i've just seen that quote on your sidebar about letting out the rowdy prisoners - wow love it - where did it come from Jeane?
Hi Rosie, isn't that just so cool! an actor friend gave it to me a couple of years ago when I was going through a very hard time :)
How large would you like to be painting?
Hi Jeane, love all your work - the gorgeous little scratchy bits against the strong blocks of colour - telling stories of mystery and sensual intrigue, and love the 'you must make an effort....' quote - all too easy for me to be lazy and procrastinate.
hello Carole - how large?, mmmmm, door or wall size I think :)
thank you so much Noela and I agree, procrastination is the road to dullsville :)
